Do you like comic books, if so, what comic books do you enjoy reading?

Hehehe....

I really like comic books. Among classics like Lucky luke and Asteriks en Obeliks (dont know if those were even released outside europe) i also like Manga and JTHM. So yeah, wide variety of flavours here. Although i've mostly been reading Manga's lately, since i dont have much time (most of those books are pocket size and easy to take with me).

Have you read the new comic by Jhonen? (creator of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac / JTHM) The comic is called jellyfist and it was drawn by J.R. Goldberg, and written by Jhonen. The entire book makes absolutely no sense, here are some of the stories:

Buy the book if you enjoyed these stories. It's not very expensive, and filled with wierd stuff like this.

It's Jhonen Razz what did you expect? Fluffy bunnies? Oh wait...

Forget I said that...

And yes, Asterix and Obelix was publised outside Europa.

Quote :

The 33 main books or albums (one of which is a compendium of short stories) have been translated into more than 100 languages and dialects.

Besides the original French, most albums are available in English, Dutch, German, Danish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Spanish, Catalan, Basque, Portuguese (and Brazilian Portuguese), Italian, Polish, Romanian, modern Greek, Turkish, Slovenian, Serbo-Croatian and Indonesian. Beyond modern Europe, some albums have also been translated into languages as diverse as Esperanto, Mandarin, Korean, Bengali, Afrikaans, Arabic, Hindi, Hebrew, Frisian, Latin and Ancient Greek.

In France and especially in Germany, several volumes were translated into a variety of regional dialects, such as Alsatian, Swabian and Low German. Also, in Portugal, a special edition of the first volume, Asterix the Gaul, was translated into local language Mirandese. Hungarian-language books have been issued in Yugoslavia for the Hungarian minority living in Serbia. Although not a fully autonomic dialect, it slightly differs from the language of the books issued in Hungary. In Greece, a number of volumes have appeared in the Cretan Greek and Pontic Greek dialects.

Filler Bunny is fucking awesome Very Happy

And it would seem interesting to see an Asterix and Obelix comic in Mandarin xD What would the characters be called? The translators laughed themselves into a stroke with the original translations, so mandarin would seem quite funny to me too

http://lfgcomic.com/page/1

This one rocks, fantasy setting, noble elf sets out on a grand quest, meets Richard the sadistic Warlock who lives (or rather, unlives) to kill and torture.

The longer I read it, the better it becomes!

Also fun, lots of computer/videogame stuff, altho the starting comics are a bit lacking in terms of story and art, but they get awesome later on!

More to come...

I actually prefered the Ctrl+alt+del without a story, they were funnier! Razz

I'm looking for this comic, it seems fun:

Chumble Spuzz

Volume 1 - "Kill the Devil" When two idiots named Gunther and Klem enter a pig race at the
local carnival, neither of them realize that the pig they've won is possessed by the Dark
Lord Satan. They consult with Reverend Mofo, a foul-mouthed Southern Baptist preacher
monkey who concludes that the only way to repair the possessed swine is to go straight to
the source. Calling upon the help of the trigger happy General Woodchuck and his sidekick
Kernel Cornnut, the gang heads into hell to Kill the Devil.
