| I don't believe in the christian God nor any other gods, to me gods are a thing of fantasy. I really liked the sun quote greek warrior! Nice one! I'm not really into argumenting that someone is believing the wrong thing... I'm just discussing beliefs, but the one thing all religions have in common... They want to convert you to theirs! And no, you can't deny that, so no selfowning posts plx. In the end, it all matters to what the person feels... And i'm not speaking of the Christian God here in relation to wars and other crimes commited "in His name", because that's pointless. Humans will be humans, blood will be shed as long as we keep existing. _________________ |

| All in favor of seizing to exist say AYE! I think that people take religion way too serious. The bible was a book. Nothing more, nothing less. In that book, there were verses. Verses that you could apply to your personal life, to help you be a good person. Because, seriously, some weird shit was giong on back then. People we're fucking everything that they saw, tried getting married to their left index finger, and kept asking random strangers when it was tolerable to beat their wife. So a bunch of people got together, basically agreed that marriage was between a man and a women, since girls have "innies" and boys have "outies", that sex was pretty much easier with a girl if you're a guy and vice versa, and that it is tolerable to beat your wife WHENEVER THE FUCK YOU FEEL LIKE IT! But does that mean that we can use the bible to apply to modern life? A time where guys might love "outies" and girls might love "innies", where society more or less accepts this, and where beating your life is a big no-no? _________________ Between Comedy and Tragedy, there is I

| Oh come on, our current society IS Christianity. Our laws, our morals, it's all based on Christ. And life was not as rule-less as you describe it back then. They just had different rules and laws. |

| My point is, the bible was written as a guide for people how to live. But not a guide as in "live this way or die" but more like "live this way or you're a fucking moron" So, basically, it's more like a book with advise. At least that's how i interpret it. _________________ Between Comedy and Tragedy, there is I

| We don't have to prove that God exists, it's called a religion because we believe in it, someone who does not experience what a true believer does, can not understand.. It might sound a bit harsh, but it's true.. If you want proof that He exists, there is one way: follow Him. |

Well, how did you end up being a believer in what you do?
I think, most people who have expierenced enough cruelty, would start searching for help. Which they can find in christianity (sometimes). For example someone whose mother died in a car accident and they don't believe she can be just gone forever, the kid would want to get answers and look for what are the possibilities of things that are greater than death..
So that is one thing some people happen to believe in Him in the most unthinkable situations, a life threathening situation, seeing ghosts and hearing voices, on the plane, during the visit of a church or hearing a song..
There are many ways how God reaches people.. you never know really but if you want to get to know Him and more about christianity, there is nothing that's in your way. Look for Him and He will find you.
Everyone gets a call, but not everyone answers them, I think that's the best way to explain it. |

| That's kinda the thing that makes this religion so hard for me. I want to believe, but I need something to see/touch. I've had enough experiences with my own madness, which can be a powerfull tool in creating ghost worlds where all seems plausible and taken too far, can go into the real world claiming to be real things... That's kind of the thing that makes it personal tho, we're all crazy and see our own things, but its hard for another to see if he's on a whole new level of crazy! Altho the above does sound kind of....crazy... _________________ |
